My Current Skincare Routine

My skin is something I have always struggled with. Being a makeup artist I know that great makeup starts with great skin. I am constantly trying to keep mine under control which can be challenging since I have sensitive, acne prone, dehydrated skin. Over the years I have found a few products that work well, however, now that I am in my 30's I am noticing a whole new set of concerns. This has lead me to do a bit more research and add in a few extra products to my previously limited skincare menu. Take a look below at my current skincare routine.

Daytime
My morning routine is fairly simple. Usually I will splash my face with some water then head out the door for a walk. Once in the shower I wash my face with a gentle cleanser. After showering I always spritz my skin with Caudalie's beauty elixir. I am completely obsessed with this product, ever since I have started using it my skin looks more radiant. Next I apply moisturizer, I do this immediately after the elixir before my skin is completely dry, I find moisturizer absorbs the best this way. Currently I am using Racinne's Ultimate Aqua Boost lotion but when I am feeling dry I will use Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Cream. I also take a few minutes after showering to apply Kiehl's Creme de Corps body cream. Lastly I apply Lucas Paw Paw ointment to my lips (which I also do at night and frequently throughout the day).
Nightime
Nighttime is when I incorporate a few more steps into my skincare routine. I remove my makeup with Fresh Seaberry Cleansing Oil, which melts away my makeup leaving my skin feeling soft. Next I use a gentle cleanser as a second cleanse, this gives me the guarantee that I have removed all traces of makeup. I am prone to breakouts so this is an important step for me. Same as I do in the morning I then spritz with Caudalie's Beauty Elixir before applying a serum. Right now I have two that I am rotating with; Fresh Black Tea Firming Serum and Racinne Aqua Blanc Concentrate. After my serum I pick how I am going to hydrate. Typically I go with Fresh's Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream or Caudalie's Divine Oil but sometimes I rotate in an overnight mask.

Twice A Week
I like to exfoliate at least twice a week. Since I have oilier skin I can get away with exfoliating three times a week if I am using a gentle exfoliator. Currently I am using Racinne's Gentle Refining Scrub but I just finished up Fresh Sugar Face Polish which I absolutely loved. A couple times a week I will skip my regular evening moisturizer and add an overnight mask. Right now I am using Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask and Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Mask.
Once A Week
Generally I do a hydrating mask once a week. If my skin has been breaking out I may add in a deep cleansing mask like May Lindstrom's The Problem Solver or Fresh's Umbrian Clay Mask, which I will also use as a spot corrector. Multi-masking is also a great option if you don't have time to do two separate masks. Once a week I exfoliate with Fresh's Cocoa Body Exfoliant in the shower to give my body a little extra love.
When I Remember
I am guilty of constantly forgetting to apply eye cream. When I do remember I generally only apply this at night unless I notice that my eyes are puffy in the morning. Currently I have two on rotation, Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Cream and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye Cream.
