Tutorial: Chrissy Teigen's Met Gala Makeup
This tutorial was inspired by Chrissy Teigen's Makeup by Mary Phillips for the 2015 Met Gala. I chose to soften the eyeshadow and use a slightly brighter lip colour for a summer twist on her red carpet look. Start this look by applying your foundation and then follow the steps below...
How To: Eyes
1 of 4
Step 1: After applying an eyeshadow primer, use a light shimmery cream shadow all over the lid.
Step 2: Use a matte light brown shadow and blend in your crease.
Step 3: Line the eye with thin black line, then use a dark brown cream shadow to smudge at the lash line. Tip: When using cream shadows be sure to test how fast the product dries to know how long you have to work with it before the product sets. {See below for product recommendations}.
Step 4: Use the lighter cream shade to blend under the eye, then take your darker cream shadow and smudge along the lower lash line. Curl lashes and apply mascara.
How To: Cheeks
2 of 4
Step 1: Apply bronzer to cheeks and bridge of the nose. Use your contour shade in the hollows of the cheeks for a more sculpted look.
Step 2: Sweep blush upwards along the cheek bones. Avoid bringing blush too high or close to the nose.
Step 3: Apply your highlight shade on the highest point of your cheekbones for a luminous look.
How To: Lips
3 of 4
Step 1: Create an X at the cupids bow of your lip to begin when lining your lips. Then fill in the lip liner to help hold your lipstick.
Step 2: Apply lipstick, use a lip brush for a more precise application.
Step 3: Touch up with a concealer brush to clean up any smudges along the edges.
