Soft Brown Smokey Eye Tutorial
Recently I have been using brown eyeshadow and liner much more on myself and my clients. It is a softer option that still can look very dramatic. Here is my go-to brown smokey eye broken down into 5 steps.
Step 1
Start by applying a cream base shadow. My current favourties's are shadow sticks. They are quick and easy to apply on yourself. Here I have used Make Up For Ever Aqua Matic, shade Satiny Flesh-coloured Pink S-52. Apply this all over the lid and lightly blend out into the crease.
Step 2
Next using Smashbox Photo Matte Eyes Palette, I applied Vanilla under my brow bone. I then blended Rose Hip all over my lid.
Step 3
Using one of the lighter brown shades (I used Grounded), softly sweep in the crease. Next take a darker shade and blend in the outer corner of the eye, here I used Canyon.
Step 4
Using my Laura Mercier Flat Liner Brush and Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in black, I "tight lined" my eye. This is an eye lining technique where you lift your lid and line right at your lash line from underneath. For my upper liner I used Charlotte Tilbury Rock'N'Khol liner in brown, then smudged it along the lash line.
Step 5
Lastly using MAC eyeliner "Teddy" I lined in my lower water line. Then with a small brush I soften/smudged it along the lash line. Finish by curling your lashes and applying a few coats of your favourite mascara.
Face
For my face makeup I made sure to prep my skin before applying foundation. I used Giorgio Armani's Maestro Glow Fusion Makeup with my beauty blender all over my face, with Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer to conceal. I used Make Up For Ever's contour palette then lightly dusted a translucent powder on my t-zone. To give myself a summer bronzed look I applied YSL's Bronzing Stone before adding a pop of colour on my cheeks.

Brows + Lips
I used Shu Uemura's Brow Sword in Seal Brown to fill in my brows. For lips I lined them using Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Liner in Pillow Talk and applied her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Coachella Coral.
