5 Minutes To Glowing Skin
All the sun we have been enjoying makes me dream of summer. When warmer weather comes I change my basic makeup routine to something simpler and lighter. Here are a few easy tips to help you achieve beautiful glowing skin.
Base
I may be a bit repetitive on this one point but I can't say enough how important it is to prep your skin. This is the best way to ensure that your foundation will look great and last. I like to apply my makeup after freshly washing and moisturizing my face. If you have already gone a few hours after washing, simply freshen it up with a swipe of toner and a new application of your favourite cream. Always prime before foundation then apply concealer. If your skin is feeling dry, try a moisturizing foundation to add extra hydration!
Highlight
I start by using a deeper/taupe coloured cream bronzer to contour the hollows of the cheek bones and any other area on the face requiring contouring. Next, I use a cream blush on the cheek bones blending outwards to the ear. Tip: Make sure not to bring your blush too high or close to the nose. To set the makeup I apply a light dusting of translucent powder in the t-zone. For increased longevity of your cheek colour repeat these two steps with a powdered version in a similar shade. To finish tap on a cream highlight along the top of your cheek bones!
